Obituary for Jason Sutton

Sutton, Jason - With broken hearts the Sutton family announces the sudden passing of Jason Sutton at the age of 48 years. Jason died on Friday July 31, 2020 as the result of a motor vehicle accident.

Born on January 2, 1972 in Kirkland Lake, Jay will be remembered as a hard worker who was always dedicated to and proud of every job he was doing. Jay enjoyed operating and working on heavy equipment, whether it was at the mine, on his spare time at the farm, or in the woods. He loved working alongside his brother Bob, and sharing his knowledge with his kids and wife. He loved to travel, but his favorite destination was always at his cottage surrounded by the ones he loved, including his furry friends Otis, Belle, Bernie and Nacho. He will also be remembered for the love and respect he had for his family, and his wonderful sense of humour. Jay was an exceptional husband, father, son and friend. He was a man with a big heart, always putting the needs of others before his own. His family and his friends were everything to him and he will sorely be missed by all those whose lives he touched.

Jason is survived by his loving wife of 23 years Nancy Sutton [née Bélanger], their three cherished children Jonathan Sutton [Agnesa], Jordan Sutton, Sierra Sutton; his parents Wayne and Hazel Sutton and by his brothers Gary Sutton and Robert Sutton [Lucie]. Also left to mourn are his loving mother and father-in-law Gaston and Jacynthe Bélanger, his sister-in-law Shirley [Jacques] Ducharme; brothers-in-law Steve [Lynn] Bélanger, Danny [Nancy] Bélanger as well as his nieces, nephews and extended family members. Jason is predeceased by his grandparents George and Doris Sutton and Albert and Dorothy Smith.

Memorial contributions in Jay's memory can be made to the local Tim Hortons Foundation Camps. Condolences and contributions may be left at www.buffamleveille.com.
