Peacefully at the Temiskaming Lodge on Friday, July 17, 2020 Gerald “Gerry” Wilfred Joseph Remillard of Latchford passed away at the age of 78. Loving husband of the late Diane (nee Dagenais) for 50 years. Beloved father of Monique (Kelly) O’Shaughnessy, Norm (Danielle) Remillard and Lise Remillard (Gabe). Survived by his grandchildren Trevor O’Shaughnessy, Cody O’Shaughnessy, Matthieu Remillard, Nathalie Remillard, Amy McKeever, Liam McKeever and great granddaughter Isabella O’Shaughnessy. Sadly missed by his sister Irene Ranger and sister-in-law Yvette Remillard. Forever remembered by his best friend Rene Garreau. Predeceased by his siblings Alma, Germaine, Joseph, Marcel, Roger and Robert. Gerry worked at the Sherman Mine for 23 years and at the ONR for 8 years. His love of the Latchford community led him to be an active volunteer for many events throughout the years. Above all, Gerry loved his family and devoted his life to their happiness. Cremation has taken place at Lakeview Crematorium, Haileybury. A private graveside service will be held at Cobalt Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
