Obituary for Bridget Franks
Bridget Kearney Franks January 16, 1929 to June 14, 2020.
In loving memory of Bridget Kearney Franks who passed away peacefully at the Temiskaming Hospital at the age of 91.
Born in England and spending much of her youth in Ireland, Bridget returned to England to raise her children. In 1979 she married Robert Franks and moved to Rhodesia. In 1980 they moved to Haileybury, where she became a dedicated member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church and a member of the local chapter of the I.O.D.E.,
Predeceased by her husband Robert, son-in-law Kevin, granddaughters Ingrid and Joanne, and great granddaughter D’Arcy. She will be fondly remembered by her children Lucy Bilinski (Bill), James Franks (Jennifer), Daphne Beecham (Art), Cynthia Wilson (David), Patricia Torr, Maureen Steward (Richard). Sister: Charmaine, grandchildren: Tanya, Bryan, Lisa, Desmond, Gordon, Matthew, Nina, Tristan, Kelly, Sarah, David, Curtis, Dean and Evan, as well as many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews around the world.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Temiskaming Hospital and the Northdale Manor for caring for Bridget during the final stages of her life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Pauls & St. John’s Anglican Church.
In keeping with Mrs Franks' wishes, cremation has taken place at Lakeview Crematorium, Haileybury. A memorial service will take place on September 12, 2020 at 2pm at St. Paul's and St. John's Anglican church in Haileybury. The family invites you to join them via Facebook for the live stream of the memorial service at https://www.facebook.com/jennifer.franks.735. Following the funeral service the family will be welcoming guests at 3:15pm for a celebration of Bridget's life on the lawn at their home, 50 Ferland St. in Haileybury.
