Obituary for Jacques Joseph Leblanc
Leblanc, Jacques Joseph - It is with sorrow that the family announces the passing of Mr Jacques Leblanc at the age of 93 years. Mr Leblanc died on Thursday June 11, 2020 at the Temiskaming Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Born on February 7, 1927 in St-Bruno-de Guigues , PQ to the late Albert Leblanc and to the late Armédia Paquin. Mr Leblanc had worked as a carpenter for many years in different areas of the province but most notably he worked for Roger Rivard Construction for 25 years. He led a quiet life enjoying the outdoors such as camping and fishing. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing at the Haileybury Golf Club every chance he could. He learned to golf at the age of 85 years and loved every minute on the course. Mr Leblanc was very community minded always ready to lend a hand when needed. He had a heart of gold always putting the needs of others before his own. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. His presence will sorely be missed by many.
Predeceased by his parents, his wife Fernande (nee Belanger), his grandson Wayne Foisy and his many siblings. Mr Leblanc is survived by his loving children Ginette and her husband Denis Leveille, Camille Leblanc and his wife Debi Digulla and by Jocelyne Leblanc and her husband Jocelyn Verreault. He is the cherished grandfather of Rachelle, Eric, Vincent, Roxanne; great-grandfather to Elissa, Danick, Mitchell, Christian, Alex and Kendra. Also surviving is his very good friend and companion Mrs Gisele Pickard as well as many extended family members and friends.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place at Lakeview Crematorium, Haileybury. A private celebration of life will take place at a later time. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in Mr Leblanc's memory can be made to the Community Cancer Care. Palliative Care.
