Obituary for Lawrence Ernest Fleming

Fleming, Lawrence Ernest - It is with heavy hearts and a sense of loss that the family of Lawrence Ernest Fleming announce his passing on April 22, 2020 in the comfort of his home at the age of 87 years.

Mr Fleming was born and raised in Bucke Township on May 14, 1932 on the family farm. He is predeceased by his parents John and Mable Fleming, his brothers Gordon (Mary Belle) Fleming, Harold (Margaret) Fleming and by his sisters Marjorie (George) Hoover and Muriel (Tom) Hoover. Mr Fleming is survived by his loving wife Shirley Mae Fleming (nee Jessup); his loving nine children Sandra (Brian) Hurteau, Rosemary (David) Verge, Helen Forth, Roy (Carol) Fleming, Debbie (Terry) Gagnon, John (Sandy) Melvin, Wanda Angel Taylor and Lawrence Jr. ( Sandy) Fleming. Cherished grandfather to twenty five grandchildren, twenty seven great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Throughout his lifetime Mr Fleming worked for Mitchell Lumber Camp, Hill Clark Frances, Hopstock Farms, Ideal Dairy and Homocrest Dairy. He was the milkman delivering for Beatrice Dairy of New Liskeard. Mrs Fleming also worked diligently on the family farm.

As per Mr Fleming's wishes cremation has taken place at Lakeview Crematorium, Haileybury. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
