Obituary for Yvette Peddie (Godin)
Peddie, Yvette Diane [nee Godin] - With profound sadness we announce the passing of Yvette Peddie (nee Godin), aged 68, our loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all whose lives she touched, on March 18, 2020.
She completed her final journey peacefully with her husband by her side. She is gone on to join her parents, Catherine and Edouard Godin, as well as many siblings.
Left to mourn are her beloved husband of 53 years, Gary Peddie, her children, Trudy, Cathy, Gary (Cassie), Oddie (Jenn) and Curtis (Kim), grandchildren, Kaytlin, Katrina, Samantha, Erica, Alexandra, Drake, Rose, Brenna, Kayley, Alyssa, Jacob, Cayden, Nolan and great-grandchildren, Oshi, Sophia and Ebony. Along with her sisters Yvonne Godin, Jackie Mercier, Noella Miron, brothers Alcide Godin and Mike Godin. She will also be deeply missed by her many brothers/sisters in laws as well as her best friend of 60+ years, Jackie Adshead.
We were blessed to have had mom with us for all of these wonderful years. She was an amazing role model who has left us with many happy memories. As we sit and reminisce about mom, words cannot capture the love that she shared with her family and friends throughout her life on earth.
The family wish to thank the staff at the Temiskaming Hospital and the Dialysis Department for the wonderful care and support they have given Yvette and her family.
A celebration of Yvette’s life will be held at a later date when she can be celebrated openly. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
Mom, we will miss your warm hugs, big, ready smile, gentle soul and the way you made all of us your purpose and priority. We will always remember, cherish and honor you by carrying on the traditions and celebrations that mean so much to all of us.
