James (Jim) Cecil Dickinson age 76, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Sept 8th, 2019 at the Temiskaming Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jim was born on November 3, 1942 in New Liskeard, Ontario to Cecil and Muriel Dickinson. He followed his fathers footsteps and began his lifelong career at Wabi Iron and Steel retiring after a continuous 45 years of employment. Retirement only lasted a few short months when he was asked to help out for an afternoon at Mid North Recycling. Jim found a new pastime and an afternoon turned into ten years of dedicated employment ending only two short weeks ago.

Jim is survived by his wife of 58 years Donna, his 4 children Muriel, Jimmy (Brenda), Billy (Cathy) and Angie (Steve), 10 grandchildren Kristy(Andrew), Amanda (Pete),Joshua (Tiffany), Josee(Trevor), Jaycee, Blake(Logan), Brooke(Jake), Brady, Bryce and Hunter. 11 great grandchildren Dakota, Sabrina, Brantley, Travis, Jacob, Kaysen, Levi, Georgia, Aiden, Deacon and Violet.

Besides spending time with his family and friends, Jim had passion for farming, the Toronto Maple Leafs, game shows and in the last 15 years found a love for travelling, going on many different trips with his family. Jim had a bright and energetic personality and was known for his ability to sense when people needed his help. He touched many lives with his generosity and passion for life.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering on Sunday Sept 15th anytime between 1-4pm at the Dymond Community Hall with a special toast to Jim at 2:30. In Lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Pallitive Care Unit at the Temiskaming Hospital. Online condolences accepted at www.buffamleveille.com
