Taylor, Delbert Micheal - With broken hearts the family announces the sudden and unexpected passing of Mr Delbert Taylor at the age of 52 years. Delbert died in the comfort of his home in Cobalt on Thursday June 29, 2017
Born in Haileybury on October 23, 1964 to the late Ernest Taylor and Janine Ouellette, Delbert had been a lifelong Cobalt resident. He was employed by the Ontario Northland Railway for the past 34 years. Delbert had a passion for snowmobiling, riding his Harley Davidson motorbike and for his collection of antique vehicles. Despite his many qualities Delbert will be remembered as a good man with a big heart, always putting the needs of others before his own. He was a loving son, grandson, nephew and friend. His presence will forever be missed.
Predeceased by his father Ernie Taylor (2009) and by his grandfather William Ouellette, Delbert is the cherished son of Mrs Jean Taylor (partner Jerry Shepherdson) and dear grandson of Mrs Amy Ouellette. Also surviving are his aunts and uncles Aline (Vince) Gabani, Lucille Larkin (friend Bob), Gisele (Leo) Belanger, Pat (Joel) Boucher, Helene (late Jimmy) Davey, Marielle (Robert) Dugas, Danny Ouellette, Denise (Mike) Martel and many cousins and extended family members.
The family of the late Delbert Taylor will receive family and friends at the Buffam Leveille Funeral Home on Tuesday July 4, 2017 from 7:00 - 9:00pm and again on Wednesday July 5, 2017 at St Patrick's Catholic Church, Cobalt beginning at 9:30am. The memorial mass will follow in the church at 11:00am. Father Wayne Mills officiating. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Community Cancer Care or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged. A luncheon will be held at the Cobalt Golden Age Club Hall (22 Argentite Street) following the committal service at the Cobalt Catholic Cemetery.
