Obituary for Ebert Harry Christo
Christo, Ebert Harry - The death occured at the Temiskaming Hospital of Mr Ebert Christo of New Liskeard, on Sunday April 2, 2017 at the age of 85 years.
Born in Dymond Township on August 6, 1931 to the late Joseph Christo and to the late Violet Bailey, Ebert was a lifelong Temiskaming Shores resident. Always ready to lend a helping hand Ebert volunteered at many social events held in New Liskeard and was the well known ticket handler at the New Liskeard Cubs hockey games for 38 years. He will also be remembered as an avid train enthusiast. Special thank you to Vivian and Roger Chartrand for allowing Ebert to visit the staff in the produce department every week.
Ebert is predeceased by his parents as well as his siblings Elwood, Edric, Margaret, Corine , Allan, Frank, Judy and Marina. He is survived by his brothers Gord and his wife Terry Christo, Bud (late Colleen) Christo; his sister Merry Brazeau and by his caregiver and niece Mrs Noella Smith. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews as well as many extended family members.
A special thank you to the entire staff at the Temiskaming Hospital specifically the staff in the Intensive Care Unit, for the wonderful care given to Ebert. Your kindness did not go unnoticed.
In keeping with Ebert's wishes cremation has taken place at Lakeview crematorium, Haileybury. As expression's of sympathy contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Condolences, contributions and memorial candles may be left at www.buffamleveille.com.
