Obituary for Kenneth Arnold Jonason
Jonason, Kenneth Arnold - Peacefully at the Tri-Town Extendicare, Haileybury, on Thursday February 09, 2017 at the age of 92 years.
Born in Haileybury on July 23, 1924 to the late Daniel Jonason and the late Carolina Oslund, Kenneth will be remembered as a man who enjoyed playing his guitar, working in his vegetable garden and baking especially his famous doughnuts and carrot pie. Kenneth grew up at the Montreal River near the Matabichuan and spent a better part of his life working on the family farm and caring for his parents. He will be missed by all those lucky enough to have known him.
Predeceased by his parents as well as his siblings Ellen Peterson, Martin Jonason, Rita Fisher, Nellie Fleury, Daniel Jonason, Thelma Peterson and Lena Gardiner. Kenneth is survived by his sister Mrs Mabel Broad of South Porcupine as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Also surviving is Diane Robitaille and Rosanne Fisher who cared for Kenneth for many years.
In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place at Lakeview Crematorium, Haileybury. A private interment will take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in the spring of 2017.
